The man in black in Randers

Hello, I’m Johnny Cash!

This is how you are welcomed into our newest museum here at the Memphis Mansion. Elvis has been joined by none other than The Man in Black himself, Johnny Cash!

The museum opened on Johnny Cash’s birthday, February 26, 2022. The museum was dedicated by his grandson, Thomas Gabriel. The museum is the only stationary Johnny Cash Museum outside the USA, and here you can experience, among other things:

  • The story of Johnny Cash, from his childhood in Dyess to his final years with American Recordings
  • Music from Cash’s nearly 50-year career and 97 albums.
  • Denmark’s largest record collection with Johnny Cash, thanks to a donation from Alex Damsted
  • Handwritten notes from Cash, written for a baptism by one of his tour staff members
  • Original stage clothes worn by both Cash & June Carter
  • A number of private photos from Cash’s own home, including of himself and the Carter family
  • “Cowboy” Jack Clement’s guitar. Cowboy Jack wrote and helped produce some of the songs that Cash recorded
  • Original merchandise from Cash’s tours, including a fan-made Monteagle cap worn by Cash himself
  • June Carter’s necklace and a police badge that Cash received from the New Hampshire Police
  • Original documents, letters, record contracts, autographs and more…
  • A metal plaque with the President’s emblem, given to Cash by President Bill Clinton
  • Signed metal signs and drumsticks by W.S. “Fluke” Holland, part of Cash’s musical staff

And much more! Come experience the story of America’s greatest country musician!
