Book 1 – Memphis to Brooklyn
An exclusive coffee-table hardcover book, fully illustrated with a plethora of rare and new photographs and documents. The book follows Elvis’ military service from his March 1958 draft through basic training in Texas to his departure from Brooklyn for Germany in September that same year.
The book also contains a thorough analysis of Elvis’ Studio B recordings in Nashville in June, 1958.
CD 1 and 2 contains the entire studio session, released for the first time in its completed order of recording.
Book 2 – Germany
An exclusive coffee-table hardcover book with photographs, documents, and memoirs from fellow soldiers, friends, and family. This book is the most detailed and thorough documentation of Elvis’ first three months in Germany to date, spanning from October 1, 1958, to December 31, 1958.
The book also contains information regarding Elvis’ private home recordings in Germany, complete with photographs, documentation and background.
CD 3 and CD 4 contain the home recordings from 1958-59, newly restored especially for this release.
