Ed Bonja’s background to the Elvis universe was via his uncle Tom Disken, who was Colonel Parker’s right-hand man.
At the request of The Colonel, Ed began in 1970 to travel around with “The Elvis Presley Tour” primarily to take pictures of Elvis – Live In Concert
This resulted in more than 9,000 pictures of Elvis Presley, some of which were used for record covers but also for promotion and merchandise
Ed also helped with stage set-up and selling merchandise at the concerts.
Later, Ed was given the status of tour manger for The Colonel. He became part of the inner circle
Ed quits a few days before Elvis’ death in 1977 – he quits with a day’s notice
