Johnny Cash – An American Christmas (With Friends)

CASH COMES HOME FOR CHRISTMAS

Snow is falling outside, an old record player is spinning somewhere, and Johnny Cash sings in that deep, unmistakable voice of peace, faith and

coming home. This is not a Christmas night made of tinsel, but one of wood, dust, candlelight and American soul. Cash stands

at the heart of this album: host, storyteller and guiding star. Around him gather artists who belong to his musical world – Elvis

Presley, like Cash, a child of the great Sun Records era; Hank Snow, a voice of the country tradition Cash came from; The Louvin

Brothers, with the gospel depth and close harmonies that also shaped Cash’s spiritual side. Alongside them are Bing Crosby,

Brenda Lee, Gene Autry, Burl Ives and other voices that have defined the sound of an American Christmas for generations.

Like an evening among friends, the album moves through Christmas classics, country, gospel and winter evergreens – hand-

picked, atmospheric and with Johnny Cash as its red thread. For Cash fans and country listeners, but also for everyone who

loves curated compilations: albums you don’t just play, but listen to like a story.
